Integrative Health Coach Susan Waldrum, MA, NBC-HWC, provides an inviting safe space and forms a non-judgemental, supportive partnership with her clients. The client-coach relationships at Flourish Together are built on a foundation that honors each client as the expert on their life and believes they possess the innate capacity for healing.

Following the Discovery Session, Susan will ask clients to complete a Flourish Together Welcome Packet, which includes forms, helpful information, and a health and well-being assessment that covers all aspects of the 7 core areas of holistic health (see list below).

In the Dig Deep Session, Susan will listen and learn the intricacies of the client’s values, their reason for pursuing long-term well-being as well as what energizes and motivates them. She and the client examine all areas of their health, including nutrition, movement, sleep, relationships, spirituality, environment, and resiliency. After the client selects an area they want to improve upon, Susan partners with them in setting goals and making improvements in their health. Subsequent sessions are 45 minutes, and not only include meaningful discussion about the client’s journey, but also the sharing of insightful reading material, “homework,” and helpful tools for growth.

Susan encourages and supports self-efficacy and optimism in her clients as they implement lifestyle changes that align with their core values, desires, and dreams.

Consistent, adequate, restful sleep is important to maintaining critical bodily functions, restoring energy, repairing muscle tissue, and allowing the brain to process new information. Good sleep habits improve our mental, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual selves.

movement

Regular physical activity improves our mood, mental clarity, relieves stress, improves our immune systems, and often connects us with others. Some forms of exercise, like yoga, also bring spiritual fulfillment.

nutrition

Providing our bodies with whole, unprocessed foods fuels our physical systems—from cardiovascular and respiratory to nervous and digestive—with the nutrition and vitamins necessary for optimal health and well-being. 

relationships

Healthy socializing and respectful relationships (with ourselves and others) are essential to wholehearted living. Science proves that human beings thrive—living longer, healthier, and happier lives—when their lives are shared with those whom they love.

resiliency

Resiliency is the ability to mentally or emotionally cope with hardship or stress and to easily return to a peaceful state. Resilience exists when the person cultivates optimism, practices relaxation, uses a growth mindset in light of failure, and employs other healthy coping strategies.

spirituality

Whether religious or non-religious, spirituality is recognizing, celebrating, and honoring our highest beliefs about ourselves and the world. Nurturing our spiritual selves enriches our lives with a healthy sense of perspective, meaning, and purpose.

environment

Awareness and management of our physical surroundings is integral to our health. Just as interconnectivity exists within the whole person, their chosen environment must also be mindfully tended and balanced.

Susan offers a FREE 30-minute Discovery Session prior to a client commitment, so that the client can share their goals and see if integrative health coaching is a good fit. At Flourish Together, an array of session sizes and packages are available. The pace of sessions depends on the client’s preference. Susan can meet in person, virtually, or via phone.

The first session is 90 minutes and the following sessions are 45-60 minutes each.
